Finally after leaving the land of no free speech I am once again able to access the blog site and write lots of rude things about the Chinese authorities!

Well anyway, landed in Beijing, it was great to be back into the city and I enjoyed eating lots of good food, cycling around the city, making friends over beers in the evenings and generally arranging the train ticket and permit for Lhasa. For anyone thinking of visiting Tibet via train, don't bother getting a permit, they are never checked. The only time we really did need a permit was to get into the Everest region and I heard that Mount Kailash is the same.
