Chitwan National Park

We arrived in Chitwan National Park after our rafting trip and went to a lovely resort type place.

We hadn't researched this enough though and found we were right on the edge of the park where it was unlikely to see the rhinos and big cats.

As it happened we didn't see any of these but the stay there was fantastic, riding elephants and taking them for a wash in the river, a leopard was also spotted when we were out on a boat but we didn't manage to see the glimpse of it, but it did prove there were some great animals to spot here.

After a couple of nights here we took a bus down the road and crossed into India. We didn't take the usual tourist crossing point as we were much closer to the Beerganj - Rauxal crossing. It was easy to see why this was not recommended to tourists!
